  1. Hi Deborah, it’s great to hear that you’re enjoying all the daylight in Scotland. Sorry to hear that you haven’t found any wifi during your stay. But I’m glad to hear that you are there safe and sound. Enjoy your seafood lunch. I can’t wait to hear more about your trip and see some of your photos.

  2. Great to hear from you. Don’t you just love the long mid-summer days up north? Even in Seattle, we have a long twilight this time of year. It is still light around 9:30 – Sun up around 5am.
I look forward to hearing more when you have access.

  3. So I was looking for a nice Scottish phrase to offer, and liked this one:
I drink to the health of another,
And the other I drink to is (s)he –
In the hope that (s)he drinks to another,
And the other (s)he drinks to is me!
    Have a grand time!
Deborah responds: Thanks, Brad! And appropriate. We are going to visit the Oban Distillary this afternoon. We’ll raise a glass to you and Palma.

  4. Thank you for checking in! I’m looking forward to following your blog. Scotland is in my blood and I will visit one of these years!!
    Have a wonderful time together,
    Mindy
Deborah responds: Mindy, you should make ‘one of these years’ a very soon year. The isles are wonderful. (All we’ve seen so far)

  5. I’m here hanging on to every word you can manage to write. Thanks for taking the time. Sounds absolutely fabulous. Can’t imagine daylight til 3a.m. but it only means more time to enjoy. Have fun Deborah we are hanging with you!
Deborah responds: Thanks Barb! I awakened at 4AM to bird song today. Got up and took a picture of the sunrise. Then went back to bed. 😀

  6. Wow, 3 hours of night time… that will work for an insomiac like I am… LOL
    Continue to enjoy your trip.

  7. What a great time to visit Scotland, with those very long days.
I’ll be following along with you too – nothing like living vicariously!

  8. Deborah, try to write often. I want to travel with you to new places. Do enjoy the lovely night lights–I remember them so well on our only and brief time in Scotland. Lucky you.

  9. Happy trails. I remember that daylight from our one and only Scotland trip 13 years ago – it seemed almost eery to have it light at 3 am, but then we have just had a week of this in Alaska – very strange.
