  1. That’s incredible! He’s one of the most engaging looking people I’ve seen. Heck, she could be his great grand daughter!
Deborah responds: Don’t you just love the twinkle in his eyes?!

  2. What an awesome post! I would have loved to be there, right along with you to hear it all. His face tells a thousand stories and the twinkle in his eyes is BEAUTIFUL!

  3. That is a great story. And a perfect example of why I love to travel and why I try to take the time to listen to people. Because you never know what beauties are in store for you if you live in the world around you rather than rushing from place to place. Beautiful.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my entry this morning.

  4. Beautiful story. I hope to be as active as he is at 100.
Deborah’s response: Just the fact that he walked up and down the coach aisles for hours amazes me. Not to mention his mental acuity.

  5. Wow. That was very interesting!!! I guess the word ‘beautiful’ applies to the picture, the post itself and the life of this captivating gentleman.
    Thanks for dropping by.

  6. Wonderful “beautiful” post. πŸ™‚
I always enjoying reading through your blog but the icecream recipe really made an impression.
H’mm, summer will eventually reach cold Canberra and I have so enjoyed reading everyone’s gelato and sorbet and icecream posts. πŸ™‚
Our Australian supermarkets just don’t get the range, that the US ones do.
Deborah responds: Well, all the more reason for you to come visit us, Leslie. By the way, you should be heading into spring by now, shouldn’t you?

  7. A wonderful photo. He is a most interesting subject and sounds like he was an even more interesting person to meet. Thanks for sharing! Mine is up, finally.
Deborah responds: Welcome to my blog, Enigma. As a retired marketing person, I do welcome a reformed one. πŸ˜€

  8. Some of the best things about traveling are the “right place, right time” experiences like this one. I think this gentleman would love the fact that he’s being introduced to many others via the Internet!
LOL Deborah, but you left a PH comment for me on Maria’s blog – she did Venice for “beautiful” this week but I did North Carolina! Honest mistake that did make me chuckle.
Deborah responds: Annie, why did you mess me up by NOT posting Venice? πŸ˜€ You KNEW I would expect you to choose anything Venitian for your Beautiful selection! Quit messing with this ol’ lady’s mind.
